Circuit Technology Solder Training Kit

This solder training kit is designed to allow the beginner to develop his soldering skills and the experienced solder-er to refine and demonstrate his expertise.

The training kit board is designed in two sections:  The left 2/3rds  is designed for practice installations and removals and includes many common PTH components. The right 1/3rd is designed as a functional circuit and can be used to assess soldering workmanship, use of spacers, understanding of polarity and orientation, etc.  The functional side can be separated from the practice side at the provided score line.

Optional:  We offer a PTH Rework student training guide to accompany this soldering kit.  This is a 20 page professionally bound student guide covering basics of soldering (melting points, inter-metallic bonding), acceptance criteria as defined by IPC, product classifications,  introduction to soldering, axial and radial components as well as DIPS and ground plane thermal challenge  removal/replacement along with tip selection, tip care and component identification and polarity recognition.  A course evaluation and contact form are including as well to give the instructor feedback on this program.
